When yachts go bad…

A Norwegian marina built on the site of a sacred Viking burial place has called in the exorcists after a spate of bizarre incidents. The poltergeist activity has become more and more extreme in recent months but it has never been caught on camera until now.

Here we see footage of a yacht spinning out of control without a soul onboard. Her owner brought her alongside, landed and was speaking to the harbourmaster when his yacht apparently slipped its own lines and slammed its throttle into full astern.

The boat span out of control four times, nearly colliding with several other boats, before the harbourmaster in the dinghy managed to get the frantic owner back onboard.

Not really. It looks like someone fell overboard while reversing, the rudder jammed hard over and around she went. I'd like to see Bill Anderson tackle this one in Question of Seamanship…
