Portway Yachts went into receivership recently when Dufour Yachts decided to take its business elsewhere. Unfortunately for all concerned, that also meant that two other French boat builders also represented by Portway were left without a UK outlet.
These two are Allures and RM Yachts. Allures built blue water dreams like the Allures 44 seen here - round bilged aluminium hulls with centreboards and twin rudders, topped by GRP decks for greater comfort. The second is RM Yachts, whose quirky, twin keeled epoxy plywood flyers are great fun to sail.
Allures is actively seeking a new UK dealer and has contacted the British Marine Federation to help in the search for a distributor to manage sales, after sales service, development of the brand and marketing Allures Yachts in the UK.
